Col. ...Hi, you might be interested to know that Lt. Col. Chalmers also had a son from his second marriage. Sadly, while still serving on the front lines he received word that his son, just eight months old, had died as a result of diphtheria. Also Lt. Col. Chalmers had five brothers and four sisters. His youngest brother, Geoffrey, was killed in WW1 while serving as a navy cadet on the ship Aparima, he was 15 years old. Just last week we received our permission for an archaeological dig on Nauru, we hope to recover the remains of Lt. Col. Chalmers and the four other Australian's who were executed along side him in 1943 and bring them home. This has been a six year long investigation.
